Do you remember the dolls that were popular in the 80's (at least in Sweden)? They were called Lady Lovely Locks and had blond hair with some other colors in it. They also had little animal friends, I think they were called pixies, with long tails in pastel colors. You could put them in the doll's hair or in your own. I was thinking about these dolls and the generation who grew up with them of which a lot are wearing synthetic hair extensions in different colors today. I was thinking there might be a connection. Do you?

Wed, December 6, 2006 - 1:36 PMMost definitely. Barbie, who has long been a hairdo pioneer, also had some colorful clip-in extensions. I also think there may be some connection there with My Pretty Pony... -

Wed, December 6, 2006 - 2:33 PMYou mean My Little Pony? When I asked some class mates about the LLL theory they also thought that Barbie and MLP played a bigger part than LLL. Did the ponies have extensions too? -

Wed, December 6, 2006 - 3:51 PMYes most definitely. There's nothing like those My Little Ponies from the 80s! Those of today have such crappy design.
